This McLaren Elva is expected to fetch almost $3 million at auction.

One of just 149 examples ever made, this Elva is even more unique thanks to its striking multi-chromatic color.

Called the Pacific Color Stream, the car has blue, purple, and orange tones which make it look completely different depending on which angle you look at it from.

The car, which is unit number 122, has a bespoke carbon fiber body with dihedral doors that make it really stand out (if it didn’t already).

It also has quad exhausts, with two pointing backward and two pointing up towards the sky.

This placement gives the car an incredible and unique frequency of sound.

McLaren says the shape of the Elva was actually carved by the wind, “created to deliver a driving experience of exhilarating purity”.

And they it the nail on the head with that description, because the Elva would have to be one of the most exhilarating drives on the planet.

The Elva is McLaren’s lightest production car, weighing less than 1198 kg, meaning it is lighter than the Ferrari Monza 2.

It’s powered by a 4.0 liter twin-turbocharged V8 that delivers more than 800 hp.

The lightweight, open-roofed, mid-engined McLaren is famous for its no-windshield design.

And if you’re lucky enough to ever get behind the wheel of this supercar, you won’t have to worry about bugs flying into your face because McLaren’s got you covered.

Designers created special technology called the Active Air Management System, which channels air over the top of the cockpit when driving.

McLaren hasn’t forgotten driver luxuries either, with form-fitting carbon fiber seats and Ultrafabric materials fitted throughout the cabin.

Listed on Mecum Auctions, the car is expected to sell for between $2.6 million and $2.75 million.

Considering the Elva retails for $1.69 million, it’s a high asking price.

But given how few were produced, you’d be hard pressed to find one for much less.
