And with each new reveal, comes a new record for speed, acceleration – and desirability.
Trying to narrow it down to five of the coolest – and fastest – electric hypercars is no mean feat, but we’ve given it a shot.
So, counting down from five to one, these are EVs making a name for themselves on the world stage.

Automobili Estrema 4. Automobili Estrema Fulminea
The Fulminea is the product of a brand-new Italian company known as Automobili Estrema.
Stunning and exotic, just like most other supercars with Italian roots, the Estrema Fulminea is a limited-run, electric hypercar with four-wheel drive and 2,040 hp from four electric motors.
Not only will this beast of an electric hypercar accelerate to 321 km/h (200 mph) from rest in less than 10 seconds, it’s also got a range of 519 km (323 miles) which is pretty impressive.

3. Automobili Pininfarina Battista
Pininfarina is most notably known for coming up with designs for more than 100 Ferraris, but it’s finally attached its name to a supercar of its own – the Automobili Pininfarina Battista.
Ok, the Pininfarina Battista may share some of its drivetrain components with the Rimac C_Two, but thankfully the Italian brand kept the 120kWh battery pack and quartet of electric motors.
Those four motors have a combined output of 1,877 hp which will get you from 0-60 mph in less than two seconds before reaching a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph).
2. Aspark Owl
Probably the most mysterious car on our list, the Aspark Owl is the first Japanese electric hypercar.
It was first unveiled in 2018 and has been consistently updated by the Aspark team without actually going on sale.
Many thought it’d never go into production, but the good news is that the Aspark Owl is now on sale (for over $3 million) and is rumored to have 2,012 hp and 1,475 lb-ft of torque.
1. Rimac Automobili Nevera Until we’re told otherwise, the Rimac Nevera is the fastest electric hypercar on our list achieving 0-97 km/h (0-60 mph) in just 1.85 seconds.
We say that because the Aspark Owl is rumored to do 0-97 km/h (0-60 mph)in 1.72 seconds and go on to reach a limited top speed of 400 km/h (249 mph).
Priced at $2 million, the Rimac Nevera’s performance comes courtesy of its four electric motors – one for each wheel – which makes a total of 1,914 hp.
